Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have a vacancy for an Electrical Maintainer to join a team, reporting to the Supervisor, Utilities Dampier on an 8/6 roster. Additional rostered days on may be required due to absence of fellow Maintainers or peaks in work during shutdowns or network difficulties.
You will actively promote safety awareness and safe work practices, while maintaining electrical equipment.
This location covers assets forming part of the Power Transmission network to Parker Point, EII, Rail Facilities, Dampier Town, Hydrocarbons Facilities and Waste Water handling Plants. Experience with standby generation is also part of the role.

The Role:

  • Execution of scheduled work plans and unplanned or/and breakdown work
  • Ensure compliance to all Statutory Electrical Regulations and Australian Standards
  • Promoting electrical awareness and safe work practices
  • Recommend improvements for existing processes and methods
  • Recording electrical installing work is entered in the Mine Site Log book for Registered Manager sign off.
  • Completion of Job Hazard Assessments, Take 5 and Critical Risk Management safety procedures.

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • ‘A’ Grade Electrical Licence
  • Manual, C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Experience in Hydrocarbons electrical installations
  • Proficient in use of the Microsoft Office and SAP maintenance systems
  • Knowledge of RTIO policies
  • At least 5 years’ experience in maintenance of electrical installations on a mine site or similar industry
  • Good interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills to achieve a positive safety attitude
  • Work with Contractor Management and Technical Advisor personnel
  • Provide electrical support to fellow mechanical and water Services teams
