WHAT YOU’LL BRING

To be successfully considered for the Mechanical role, you will have:

  • A Mechanical or Fabrication background
  • Sound computer skills (SAP / MS Office suite)
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment with other disciplines, including testing and commissioning, and related documentation.
  • A Manual C Class driver’s license.

To be successfully considered for the Electrical role, you will have:

  • An Electrical trade qualification
  • WA “A” Grade Electrical License
  • Sound computer skills (SAP / MS Office suite)
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment with other disciplines, including testing and commissioning, and related documentation.
  • A Manual C Class driver’s license

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Rail Experience
  • HR Class Drivers License
  • High risk licenses (Elevated Work Platform, Forklift, rigging and/or dogging ticket)
  • Exposure to a maintenance management system, such as SAP
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Maintainers to perform preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks on our Ore car and Service Car Fleet in our Wagon Maintenance Team.
Working as a Wagon Maintainer you will be required to work with our RSM team to Inspect, Maintain and repair one of the most reliable Rail car fleets in the World
The successful candidate will be a self-starting, motivated individual who is looking to showcase their technical Mechanical and Fabrication skillset, whilst striving for continuous improvement within Health & Safety, Cost, Production, and Maintenance improvement opportunities.
This is a Residential role, living in the coastal region of Karratha/ Dampier, offering comprehensive relocation assistance, subsidized housing and other residential lifestyle allowances and benefits.

Working an attractive 3 Days 3 Nights, 6 Days off roster reporting to the Wagon Maintenance Supervisor, you will be:

  • Performing assigned preventative and when required, reactive Mechanical and Fabrication maintenance to ensure the reliability of our Ore car and Service car fleet including the following –
  • Wagon Maintenance Mechanical–
  • Wagon Servicing
  • Wheel Change outs
  • Brake testing
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Breakdown response
  • Tunnel Welding repairs
  • Wagon Maintenance Electrical–
  • Wagon Servicing
  • Wheel Change outs
  • Brake testing
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Breakdown response
