Description
Use mechanical skills to perform highly diversified activities to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and equipment in support of the manufacture of heavy-duty & medium-duty truck transmissions. (including Fanuc robots and controls; NC/CNC equipment; and PLC and drive systems) Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments on equipment. Perform regular preventive and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment as scheduled. Read and interpret electric/electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, mechanical blueprints; equipment manuals; and work orders. Use these to take action to perform required equipment maintenance. Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals. Maintains work area 6S and assists in department/team housekeeping efforts Reports unusual conditions, safety issues, or defective materials to coach Trains and continually updates skills to adapt to new machinery and technology Must have a high school diploma or GED Able to read and understand electric/electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints in support of rebuild/repair of equipment. Legally authorized to work in the US on an on-going basis without company sponsorship. Strong mechanical aptitude. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, or related field, and three(3) years electrical/automation experience; OR a certificate in Industrial Maintenance, or related field, and five (5) years of electrical/automation experience.
