Description Part-Time, flexible. This position is classified as casual, as needed, but historically has worked about two days per week. The Maintenance Aide is responsible for the routine upkeep and maintenance for all properties, facilities and equipment owned by Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO) throughout an assigned area. The incumbent performs these duties in close partnership with the Property Operations Manager and/or Camp Ranger. -Observes to identify and correct minor maintenance problems throughout the GSNEO jurisdiction; brings to the attention of the Property Operations Manager any potential major problems. -Maintains grounds including cleaning and removing litter; planting grass and other landscaping; mowing; cleaning drainage ditches and culverts and other duties related to grounds maintenance. -Performs minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and tools. -Builds and/or repairs gates, structures, furnishings, both indoors and outdoors. -Performs general cleaning of cabins and/or other buildings; table and chair setups. -Contributes to routine maintenance providing a well-maintained, safe environment. -May assist in the day to day property operations of camp facilities. -Upholds the council Customer Service policy and strives to ensure that all GSNEO customers receive superior service. -Performs other duties as assigned to promote the successful implementation of GSNEO’s goals/objectives. Requirements -High School Diploma or GED and/or a combination of work related experience -Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical repair, painting, masonry, routine maintenance, general repairs and operation of tractors and motorized equipment. -Project Management skills -Ability to communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority when necessary -Ability to work well as a part of a team -Excellent customer service skills -Commitment to inclusiveness -Valid driver’s license; proof of insurance and access to insured vehicle in working condition.
