Maintenenance Officer | Permanent Part Time | Alstonville We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our team at Baptistcare Maranoa on a Permanent Part Time basis - 60 hours fortnightly, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. THE ROLE You’ll be a key part of the maintenance team driving change while being on the tools, managing a varied mix of preventative and reactive tasks across the facility. Real work, real variety, real impact. * Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across buildings, plant, equipment, furniture, fittings, and paintwork * Log, manage, and complete maintenance requests through the CMMS (Maintenance Connection) * Maintain accurate records of asset acquisitions, disposals, and maintenance activities * Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager on budget planning and asset management * Build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and contractors * Ensure all activities comply with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies ABOUT YOU You’re experienced, reliable, and know how to manage your own workload. You might be semi-retired, between roles, running your own trade work, or simply looking for something consistent without the full-time commitment. * Solid hands-on maintenance experience — you’re someone who prefers being on the tools * Trade background with relevant qualifications (highly regarded) * Experience working with property-related contractors * Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with a CMMS (Maintenance Connection or similar) * Strong interpersonal skills — you work well independently and as part of a team * Current driver’s licence * Experience in an aged care or healthcare environment (desirable) ABOUT BAPTISTCARE BaptistCare is a leading purpose-led care organisation, guided by our Christian identity and serving people and communities across Australia for more than 110 years.
