To support that challenge, we’re looking for a: MAINTENANCE ANALYST Job Description Maintenance Analyst Syngenta Biologicals | Global Operations Location: Atessa Employment Type: Full-time The Role We are seeking a Maintenance Analyst to transform maintenance operations through data-driven insights and strategic analysis. This role is at the heart of our operational excellence, turning raw maintenance data into actionable intelligence that drives equipment reliability, reduces costs, and maximizes production uptime. As our Maintenance Analyst, you'll be the analytical powerhouse behind our maintenance strategy—mining CMMS data, developing predictive models, tracking performance metrics, and providing the insights that enable proactive decision-making. You'll bridge the gap between technical execution and strategic planning, translating complex data into clear recommendations for management. Reports to: Global Head of Maintenance, Utilities & Facilities Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring Design, develop, and monitor comprehensive maintenance KPIs and reliability metrics using CMMS systems Conduct deep-dive analysis of maintenance data, spare parts consumption, and equipment performance to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities Perform statistical analysis and root cause investigations on equipment failures and recurring issues Generate executive-level performance reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar tools Compare actual maintenance performance against planned schedules, workload estimates, and industry standards Analyze asset lifecycle data to identify obsolescence risks and replacement priorities Strategic Planning & Optimization Develop and implement data-backed preventive and predictive maintenance strategies Create optimized maintenance schedules that balance reliability requirements with production demands Calculate resource requirements and personnel allocation based on workload analysis Identify material deficiencies, high labor-hour areas, and deviations from standards Propose continuous improvement initiatives based on data insights Coordination & Execution Support Collaborate with Operations to optimize maintenance timing and minimize production impacts Issue work orders and coordinate maintenance activities across teams Manage spare parts inventory through data-driven forecasting and analysis Support maintenance budget management and cost control initiatives Maintain comprehensive maintenance documentation and procedures Compliance & Collaboration Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Coordinate with maintenance teams, operations personnel, and external suppliers Support contract management and procurement of maintenance materials and services Participate in global industrial projects aligned with strategic objectives What You Need Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field 2–5 years of experience in maintenance analysis, reliability engineering, or technical roles in production industries Advanced proficiency with MS Office, CMMS systems, and data analysis tools (Power BI, Excel, or similar) Fluent in English (written and spoken) Technical Competencies Strong expertise in maintenance data analysis and KPI development Proficiency in statistical analysis and root cause analysis methodologies Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance strategies Knowledge of project management tools and techniques Understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements Key Skills Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities Advanced data visualization and reporting skills Strong attention to detail with ability to identify patterns in complex datasets Goal-oriented mindset with project management capabilities Excellent communication skills to translate technical data for both technicians and management Ability to work independently and drive initiatives Job Offer Summary Annual Gross Salary (RAL): €35,000 – €44,000 – will be assessed based on the candidate's experience Working Hours: Full Time Work Location: Atessa (CH), Italy Additional Information Syngenta is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in recruitment, hiring, training, promotion or any other employment practices for reasons of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital or veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status
