Overview Element has an opportunity for a Maintenance and Calibration Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team,Element has an opportunity for a Maintenance and calibration Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the Engineering team, the individual will assist with the maintenance, repair, calibration, and development of equipment on site. You will play a crucial role is ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our testing equipment, which is essential for maintaining the highest quality standards in Aerospace materials testing. We are looking for an enthusiastic and safety-conscious individual with hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining hydraulic and electrical equipment. Based at our Lancaster facility, the successful candidate will form part of the engineering team, reporting to the sites Principal Engineer. Responsibilities • Works safely following procedures, and risk assessments• Perform routine calibrations on a wide range of testing equipment• Conduct maintenance and regular preventative inspections to ensure optimal performance• To work through daily tasks and instructions from the engineering and production team• Carries out, documents and organises assigned daily statutory safety checks• To have the ability to fault find and repair hydraulic and electrical equipment – Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform necessary repairs or coordinate with external service providers to ensure timely resolution• Attend daily department meeting and feedback information on outstanding repairs/maintenance Skills / Qualifications Must have safe working approach • Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a hands-on maintenance or engineering role• Detail-orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Experience in calibration and maintenance• Additional experience in either refrigeration, vibration and / or climatic chambers would be an advantage• Ability to work efficiently and be flexible under pressure• Commitment and drive to continually develop and learn Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
