During your apprenticeship there will be an opportunity to collaborate with trained personnel covering most of the plant listed above. How ‘hands on’ you get depends on your level of competency.
You will be managed by a Team Leader and mentored by a Senior Technician depending on what site you are working from. In addition, the relevant teams (dependant on site) will make sure you have the support you need.
Their job is to ensure that your training fits your personal requirements, offers the skills needed for the job and satisfies national standards. They will also be there to help you through any challenging times.
Standard working day is 08:00 - 16:00, this depends on site, but it will be a 35-hour week and will include 1 day attending college each week.
Please note that the training provider is based in Dagenham and that you will attend the providers site 1 day a week. Therefore, for years 1 & 3 of your apprenticeship you will be based in Debden for 4 days per week and Dagenham for the remaining 1 days of that week. Likewise in years 2 & 4 you will be based in Threadneedle Street for 4 days per week with the remaining day in Dagenham.
