We need a maintenance assistant to join our team to help keep our hospital environment safe, operational by supporting the health and wellbeing of our patients, staff and visitors – day in day out, it’s a blend of planned maintenance coupled with emergency repairs and everything in between.
As an Estates Maintenance Worker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our hospitals remain safe, functional, and comfortable for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
Planned Maintenance: Executing a range of planned maintenance tasks to keep our buildings and external environments safe and in good order.
Safety First: Prioritising safety by conducting regular inspections and addressing potential hazards to create a secure environment.
Exceptional Service: Delivering outstanding customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Flexible Support: Adapting to changing priorities and working flexibly to support our clinical teams and patient care.
Main duties of the job
To undertake, without supervision a variety of tasks which would include: -
External grounds inspections
Repair and replacement external paviours and kerbs
Casting of concrete slabs
General site labouring
Dismantling and installation of hospital equipment and street furniture.
Road repairs
General building repairs
Patch plastering
