St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Dover, NH is a 54-bed facility offering short and long-term care in a warm and supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. We are proud to be a part of Catholic Charities New Hampshire’s continuum of care. We are looking for an experienced full-time Maintenance Assistant (37.5 hrs. a week/every other weekend) to join our Environmental Services team. Full Time Benefits; Outstanding medical, dental, and vision coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) reimbursing most out-of-pocket healthcare costs Earn $2,400/year extra if enrolled in another employer-sponsored health plan Company-paid short-term disability and life insurance Optional critical illness, accident, long-term disability, legal plan, and pet insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401(k) with 3% automatic employer contribution after 1 year Job Responsibilities of this dual role; • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed • Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures and under the direction of the Environmental Services Director • Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties in high places • Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping as directed • Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions and specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments and established policies and procedures • Ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner and that our residents and their personal belongings are handled with respect and care. Maintain confidentiality of all resident related care information to ensure residents’ rights are protected. • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing staff when performing routine assignments in resident areas Requirements High School Graduate or GED required Experience in a janitorial or related field required Must be punctual, dependable, and demonstrate compassion and patience Must be able to follow oral and written instructions Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors and staff All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin, marital or familial status, age or mental or physical handicap.
