Description MAINTENANCE AIDE, Full time - Generations at Applewood, Matteson, IL - $20.00 per hour Generations Applewood in Matteson, IL, has an Immediate Opening for a Full Time Maintenance Technician. The Hours are Saturday through Wednesday, 9 am - 5:00 pm; $20 per hour. Please note, this position requires that you are deemed eligible to work in a healthcare facility by IDPH and may required fingerprinting and thorough background checks. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician: Perform general maintenance duties such as dry walling, painting, tile installation, plumbing, replacing lighting fixtures, etc. Assist Maintenance Director as needed #IND1 Requirements of the Maintenance Technician: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required Must pass a complete background check, including fingerprinting if not in IDPH Registry Demonstrated experience with painting, tile installation, plumbing, carpentry, etc., in a healthcare setting preferred Must be able to lift, push, pull, move equipment, supplies, linens, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds as required Good communication skills a must Able to work with a team as well as independently Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults Equal Opportunity Employer
