Description Title: Maintenance Assistant Department: Maintenance Location: Symphony of Applewood Status: Full Time, Part Time, No Remote Option,Every Other Weekend Required Symphony of Applewood is hiring a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Assistant to help keep our skilled nursing facility safe and running smoothly. This is a working maintenance role — not a director or supervisory position. What You’ll Do: • Paint, patch drywall, and complete minor repairs • Repair call lights, beds, wheelchairs, casters, TVs, and small equipment • Minor plumbing and electrical fixture repairs • Assist with resident room moves • Perform seasonal outdoor work (snow, grounds upkeep) • Installing doors/windows (basic installs) • Keeping tools secured and work areas clean • Report larger issues so licensed vendors can be scheduled If a licensed trade is required (electrical, HVAC, etc.), we schedule the service. What We’re Looking For: • 2+ years hands-on maintenance experience • Comfortable with basic plumbing, painting, and general repairs • Reliable and punctual • Able to lift, bend, and stay active throughout shift • Available every other weekend Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
