We work with some of the UK’s most interesting brands and we’re looking for a Maintenance Assistant to come and join us. Armbands optional.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically able to carry out manual tasks as detailed above, such as manual handling
  • Working knowledge of joinery, plumbing and associated skills
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
  • Friendly and proactive, with a customer service oriented focus
Responsibilities
  • Day to day support for any unexpected and potentially urgent site requirements across all sites.
  • Ensure electrical issues are dealt with such as changing bulbs, checking cross-phasing, use of extension leaders and monitor PAT
  • Follow maintenance schedules for all sites, including preventive maintenance planning where applicable.
  • Carry out minor joinery work
  • Carry out minor electrical work
  • Carry out minor maintenance and temperature adjustments for air conditioning units
  • Maintain and monitor heating boilers
  • Carry out property upkeep ensuring roofs and gutters are inspected and cleaned regularly
  • Maintain the swimming pool, ensure COSHH compliance and keep appropriate records
  • Report any pest issues
  • Assist in office moves
  • Assist with health and safety notices, audits and fire marshalling
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations in reporting potential hazard
  • Cover for Maintenance Supervisor during planned/unplanned absence
  • Be available for out of hours work
  • Facilitate the management and the operation of agency buildings
  • Facilitate best business practice to improve services provided
  • Check kitchens, maintain coffee machine, work with Bistro to stock and replenish sundry items, check fridges and dishwashers
  • Collection of all recycling across the agency adhering to Green Policy guidelines on a regular basis
  • To assist grounds maintenance where required with basic task
