POSITION OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Worker Assistant helps ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position supports the upkeep of the building, equipment, and grounds, while responding to both scheduled and emergency maintenance needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least 1 year of maintenance or facility operations experience (healthcare/institutional setting preferred)
• Vocational or technical training in a skilled trade a plus
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and adapt to changing needs
• Availability to assist with facility needs as they arise, including occasional offhours response
  JOB TYPE: Part-Time
  SCHEDULE: 8-hour shifts (flexible)

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility
• Assist in keeping mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment in safe operating condition
• Maintain furniture and equipment to meet resident needs
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and facility needs
• Participate in fire and disaster drills; carry out assigned duties in the event of an emergency
• Support compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and state/federal regulations
