QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of experience in real estate or property management; sales experience considered an asset.
  • 1–3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience with property management/accounting software (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, Entrata).

SKILLS:

  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in document filing and records management.
  • Skilled in negotiation for lease terms and vendor contracts.
  • Must have a valid driving license and should have car to commute.

Responsibilities
  • Advertise and fill property vacancies through effective marketing and tenant screening.
  • Negotiate, prepare, and enforce lease agreements in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct thorough background checks to ensure reliable and qualified tenants.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and tenant relations.
  • Investigate and resolve tenant complaints; enforce occupancy rules and regulations.
  • Inspect vacant units, plan and coordinate repairs and renovations.
  • Schedule and manage service contracts (e.g., landscaping, snow removal).
  • Perform routine property inspections to ensure adherence to safety and maintenance standards.
  • Approve property-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and budget compliance.
  • Enter invoices and chargebacks, reconcile bank statements, and prepare GST reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable; ensure financial accuracy.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to property owners.
