We now have a fantastic new opportunity for Maintenance Assistant with a Painter background to join our team and contribute to the future success of Killashee Hotel.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Proven experience as a painter (hotel or hospitality setting a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Familiarity with tools, materials, and techniques used in painting and finishing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends or evenings if needed
  • Communication and intrapersonal skills, including customer service and dealing with hotel guests.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces and apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes
  • Repair drywall, patch holes, and perform touch-ups as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Follow hotel safety guidelines and procedures
  • Communicate with team members and management regarding work progress and scheduling
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.
  • Work with the maintenance and grounds teams on projects as directed by the facilities and maintenance manager
