JOB OPPORTUNITY: MAINTENANCE PERSON AT SAFESTAY ELEPHANT & CASTLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Person to join our team at Safestay Elephant & Castle Hostel. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting equipment, performing basic repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance. Candidates with skills in plumbing or electrical work will be given preference.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have the right to work in UK
• Proven experience in maintenance.
• Proficiency in general maintenance, including plumbing and electrical skills.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Ability to maintain focus and work independently.
• Strong time management skills.
• Competence in using common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.

• Oversee the overall maintenance of the hostel.
• Perform painting and decorating tasks.
• Execute minor electrical repairs, such as replacing light fittings and lamps.
• Handle minor plumbing works.
• Conduct routine inspections of the premises and equipment.
• Carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Supervise contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Potential travel to other sites in the UK as required.
