We are currently pursuing a hardworking and skilled full-time Maintenance Associate 1 to join our Plant Maintenance team. This position requires rotating on-call with a 30-minute response time. Responsibilities: · Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems at SRMC and contracted facilities. · Repair and maintain all internal and external physical structures and grounds of Sidney Regional Medical Center properties. · Maintain and install equipment and systems. · Monitor, inspect, and test machinery and equipment, and performs scheduled preventative maintenance. · Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services. · Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. · Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments. · Assist with disaster operations when necessary. · Repair patient/resident mechanical equipment (beds, wheelchairs, hovers, gurneys, other hospital and extended care equipment). · Snow removal assistance when necessary. · Maintain and repair kitchen equipment: garbage disposal, dish washer, food carts, and small appliances. · Perform minor repairs of building and equipment, desks, shelving, and sheet rock repairs. · Knowledge and ability to run large equipment: scissor lifts, tractors, payloaders, forklifts, man lifts, etc. · Communicate effectively. · Promote and ensure a safe work environment. · Other duties as assigned by management.
