SUMMARY Under the direction of the Director, Facilities Maintenance, responsible for repairs, maintenance and light construction at all facilities owned/leased or operated by the Agency to ensure maintenance of a safe and healthy environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Painting of Agency owned locations and facilities. Perform repairs and maintenance at all facilities owned, operated or leased by the agency, as required, including maintenance of outside walkways at the main facility during inclement weather. Assist with repair of structure, utility systems and equipment in all facilities, as required. Complete work order requests for maintenance, repair or renovation in a timely manner as directed. Perform light carpentry and construction for the Goodwill stores and other satellite locations. Assist with setup, breakdown and maintenance of fundraising events. May be assigned special projects on an as needed basis. Other duties, as directed or assigned. Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years related experience and/or training. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry, or ability to assist with projects under general supervision. CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS Valid drivers license in good standing and personal vehicle required.
