QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintenance experience in a greenhouse, agricultural, or similar environment preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Electrical, Facility Maintenance, or related field is an asset
  • Valid Ontario G driver’s license required
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repairs
  • Knowledge of greenhouse equipment, machinery, and maintenance best practices
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working at heights when necessary
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Maintenance Associate, you’ll keep our greenhouse facilities running smoothly, ensuring equipment, systems, and the work environment support healthy plant growth. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys using tools, solving problems, and thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. We’re looking for someone capable of managing daily maintenance, ideally with greenhouse, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily maintenance activities to ensure smooth greenhouse and facility operations
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, irrigation, and other systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing, electrical, structural, and equipment issues
  • Coordinate with the Greenhouse Operations Manager and contractors for repairs or installations
  • Maintain greenhouse grounds, walkways, and surrounding facilities
  • Assist with assembly, relocation, and installation of equipment and machinery
  • Ensure compliance with WHMIS, OHSA, and company safety policies
  • Participate in Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Emergency Management programs
