Job Description: Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Maintenance Associate. This position will be based in Chakan, Pune, India. As a Maintenance Associate you will: All Maintenance-related activities in compliance with Huntsman EHS standards, local regulations, as well as the best global practices and requirements. Plan and execute routine, preventive, and shutdown maintenance on instruments & Equipment across the plant. Utilize the contingent man-machine at shop floor to with the business / customer requirement. Perform daily rounds to monitor system health and implement corrective actions as needed Troubleshoot faults in equipment’s, instrumentation and control systems; analyse root causes and implement corrective solutions. Calibrate transmitters, sensors, control valves, DCS/PLC loops, and safety interlocks to ensure accurate performance Assist in the design, specification, and commissioning of instrumentation systems (pipes, wiring, loop diagrams, etc. Work with engineering teams on new projects, upgrades, and changeovers Ensure preventive maintenance schedules and calibrations are executed on time. Track spare parts inventory— Take monthly stock & identify obsolete items and ensure timely reordering. Plan and execute shutdown-related instrument maintenance. Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and execution during plant shutdowns. Implement failure analysis recommendations and execute instrument system improvements. Monitor and maintain safety interlocks, shutdown systems and hazardous area compliance. Ensure adherence to EHS protocols, PPE use, and conduct hazard assessments. Prepare and implement SOP, SOI, JSA, calibration records, job completion reports, and monthly maintenance documentation. Provide technical support and summary reports to maintenance teams. Flexible to do work in three shifts. Reviewing & maintaining EHS Standard procedure& complying at the site. Participate in audits and improvement activities to sustain 5S practices and identify opportunities for better organization Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 or relevant QMS standards. Maintain and update QMS documentation (SOPs, manuals, records). Strong knowledge of fire safety standards. Hands-on experience with hydrant pumps, alarm panels, and detection devices. Ensure all work permits adhere to statutory and company safety regulations. Verify risk assessments and job safety analysis before permit approval. Ensure adherence to all applicable EHS regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements. What skills and experiences are we looking for? Education: Diploma in Instrument Engineering from reputed college Experiences: 3–4 years in instrumentation work within chemical, refining, or process industries, focusing on maintenance, calibration, installation, and troubleshooting.
