Company Description The Maintenance Contracts Engineer is responsible for managing all contract activities supporting maintenance and inspection operations for a large industrial plant. The role ensures that all maintenance and inspection contracts are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with technical integrity requirements and plant availability targets. Job Description Key Responsibilities HSE Responsibilities Adhere to all HSE policies, confidentiality requirements, compliance rules, and company procedures. Demonstrate safety leadership, proactively report unsafe conditions, and contribute to continuous HSE improvement. Ensure proper application of HSE rules across team members and contractors. Participate in mandatory HSE training and enforce contractor compliance. Support ISO 14001 environmental management compliance Responsibilities During Project Phase Monitor the progress of Work Package prepared by engineering contractors for all disciplines. Coordinate procurement of materials and spare parts for Maintenance and related departments. Manage expediting activities with logistics, contracts & procurement teams, and vendors. Plan contracts and ensure readiness for the operational phase. Perform all activities required during the maintenance preparation phase. Responsibilities During Operations Ensure personnel safety, environmental protection, and integrity of equipment within the scope of activity. Coordinate contract planning for Maintenance and other departments. Liaise with Contracts & Procurement to meet timelines for contract scopes, tenders, and awards. Prepare Purchase Requests and Call-Offs. Review monthly contractor invoices and monitor budgets per contract. Ensure contractor compliance with deliverables, safety, quality, and performance criteria. Support development of technical scopes of work for new contracts, changes, or modifications. Prepare Calls for Tender in collaboration with technical and C&P teams. Evaluate technical offers and participate in contractor prequalification assessments. Organize quarterly performance review meetings with contractors. Track and report Maintenance KPIs. Technical Requirements Excellent knowledge of oil & gas / LNG equipment, maintenance methods, and repair strategies. Strong understanding of large rotating machinery (gas turbines, compressors, expanders, pumps) and LNG loading arms. Good working knowledge of SAP PM (CMIMS). Familiarity with contract management tools (e.g., Ariba). Proficiency with standard computer applications and engineering documentation tools. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Rotating, Electrical, Instrumentation/Control Engineering, Business, or equivalent technical background. Minimum 15 years of maintenance experience within oil, gas, or petrochemical industries. Minimum 10 years in senior maintenance roles. Minimum 7 years of experience in contract management. Additional Information Starting date : september 2026 Duration : 2 years in Milan (resident), then Mozambique in rotation
