THE OPPORTUNITY

Boeing Defence Australia’s Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team provide Operational and Base Maintenance support to our Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) customer for their CH47 F (SG) fleet.
We are seeking a professional and experienced Base Maintenance (BM), Maintenance Controller to join our team located at Army Aviation Centre Swartz Barracks Oakey Queensland. Operational members on this program are required to support deployed operations within Australia for periods of 6 to 12 weeks each year, the Base Maintenance Controller may be required to deploy in support of the Operational Maintenance Controllers.
All candidates will be assessed for their relevant qualifications and experience. Equally important, candidates will be assessed on their cultural fit and their alignment with Boeing values.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Computer Maintenance, repair & Overhaul (cMRO) System qualifications or simila

  • rPractical experience in a paper based (AMD) maintenance environment (12 months is desirable
  • )Practical Experience in the use of program management software, (Open Plan Professional and Milestone professional) (desirable
  • )Demonstrated ability to use initiative, prioritise and work to tight timeframes with limited supervisio
  • nDemonstrated success in the development of effective working relationships within a complex organisational structure to meet team, business unit and organisational goals
  • .Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance / modification operating procedures and documentatio
  • nBe able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedure
  • sDemonstrated experience in using Technical Manuals / Publications in the repair of Aeronautical product and system
  • sAbility to read and interpret technical directive
  • sPrevious Aircraft Trade experience is advantageous, but not mandatory
  • .Be eligible to obtain a Defence Security clearance with Australian Government Security Vettin

Responsibilities

Control the daily taskings of base maintenance activities and repairs of aircraft, aircraft components to meet base maintenance planned schedules

  • .Contribute to the creation, and maintenance of aircraft maintenance schedules
  • .Supports coordination of spares, materials, tools, aircraft components and support equipment requisitioning, receipt and allocation
  • .Support collection and disposition of aircraft and components maintenance data
  • .Contribute to the forward planning for upcoming Base Maintenance activities (maintenance forecasts, spares, POL, materials, TMDE
  • )Raise, submit and track Technical Services Requests (TSR) for all Maintenance activities
  • .Report any Maintenance activities issues or delays to schedules to the Maintenance Operations Manager
