We are delighted to open our new 102 bed Aged Care home, Holy Cross, implementing the Inspirit Model of Care. We are looking for a fulltime Maintenance Coordinator reporting to the Home Manager to join our team. This is a new home with a lot of technology, you need to be a tech savvy, practical person who can maintain a physically safe, well maintained and secure home for our residents whilst having pride in your surroundings.

A typical day will involve

  • Performing a range of reactive and periodic maintenance and handyman services for eg. Minor repairs to walls, hanging pictures, cleaning stormwater grates, gurney of bins and rubbish disposal
  • Managing the coordination of external maintenance contractors as required for gardening, plumbing, electrical, emergency equipment servicing and building warranty repairs
  • Supporting the Concierge with requests to assist new residents and their belongings into their new home
  • Maintaining the home in a state of readiness for any external audits
  • Ordering equipment and supplies in line with company policy and procedures within approved budget
  • Conducting regular internal audits and inspections to identify maintenance issues

To be successful in this role you’ll need

  • A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families
  • Trade qualification or completion of Cert IV in Maintenance/Building Services
  • Previous experience working within a maintenance, handyman or building services role
  • Contractor management experience
  • Technologically savvy
  • IT competent including the Microsoft suite
