The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of heavy industrial equipment, preventive maintenance systems, and coordination with both internal teams and external vendors in a fast-paced, high-demand production environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical/electrical engineering, or related field, or equivalent work expereince preferred.
5+ years of experience in maintenance coordination or planning in a heavy industrial or steel manufacturing environment, with direct supervision of maintenance supervisors.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a supervisor working in a unionized, manufacturing/industrial environment is preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM, or reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 45001 standards.
