In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the overall performance of the department. It’s a diverse and challenging opportunity where you can truly make your mark and contribute to the growth of the team. Your main focus will be on people leadership and development, maintaining essential stakeholder relationships, and being accountable for both operational and financial outcomes. Additionally, you'll champion a strong safety culture and work towards ongoing improvements across your department and operations. We’re looking for someone with: 5 years relevant experience within maintenance, roading, construction Leadership and people management experience with a strong focus on mentoring and development Understanding of job pricing including labour, plant and materials and associated margin / profit calculations Operational management – planning, resource allocation and coordination Financial management of budgets, cost-benefit analysis, reconciliation, reporting Have a solid understanding of civil construction methods, systems and techniques Time management skills and ability to prioritise to meet numerous and demanding deadlines RAMM experience is preferred Advanced computer literacy, keyboard and file management skills Creating, Connecting and caring for the community Our people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills, and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
