Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director and Disaster Preparedness Coordinator to lead our maintenance operations and ensure our organization is prepared for emergencies. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee facility maintenance while developing and implementing comprehensive disaster preparedness plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to safety and emergency management. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities across facilities to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with regulations - Develop, implement, and regularly update disaster preparedness and emergency response plans - Conduct risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities within the organization’s facilities - Lead emergency drills and training sessions for staff to ensure readiness for various disaster scenarios - Manage maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and effective service delivery - Monitor and manage budgets related to maintenance and emergency preparedness initiatives - Ensure all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations are adhered to - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and emergency preparedness exercises - Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services to coordinate response efforts and stay informed on best practices Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience in maintenance management and emergency preparedness planning - Strong leadership and team management skills - Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities - Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards - Ability to develop and deliver training programs and emergency drills - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work under pressure and respond swiftly to emergencies - Certifications in emergency management, safety, or related areas are preferred Join our organization and be part of a team committed to maintaining a safe, resilient, and well-managed environment.
