POSITION OVERVIEW:

Majestic Care’s Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facilities maintenance department including, but not limited to developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Maintenance department’s programs and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.
  • Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school preferred but not required.
  • Ability to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications  Three years of experience in building maintenance; one year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Have Skilled Nursing facility experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • Develop and ensure implementation of preventative maintenance plans
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and other regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.)
  • Be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations in addition to various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC certification strongly preferred.
  • Assist to hire, train, and supervise maintenance assistants
  • Participate in surveys/inspections by external agencies
  • Prepare and submit reports on maintenance functions and maintain accurate records and logs on maintenance activities
  • Provide facility-wide training on safety issues and ensure maintenance staff is provided with relevant in-service training
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on building grounds
  • Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control
