Description:

Our client in the rail industry is looking for a Maintenance Documentation Engineer to join their team in St Bruno, QC.
Our In-Service Readiness (ISR) department, in charge of supporting customers on different aspects such as Operation and Maintenance, Logistic Support Analysis & Special Tools, recruits a person to be part of the maintenance documentation team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical manuals for specific system(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering in defining the formal design review documents with a focus on quantity/depth of content and quality of information with the intent of optimizing re-use in technical manuals.
  • Write maintenance manuals & other technical manuals for the required contracts. Interact with Engineering and suppliers to obtain the necessary information. Conduct peer reviews of technical manual elements: maintenance & troubleshooting tasks, operating manual descriptions and more. Review and comment on technical publications submitted by suppliers to ensure they comply with the standards required by customers and the department.
  • Perform maintenance task or MODs on-site validation.
  • Provide support for manual publishing

Role requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a Service Engineering environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English or French.
  • Customer support experience
  • Knowledge of Alstom rolling stock products and solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of the engineering product structure.
  • Knowledge of ADAS (Alstom Data Acquisition System)
  • Knowledge of GCP (Gestion de Catalogue de pieces)
  • Knowledge of AVVA (Author, Verifier, Validator, Approver) process
  • Detailed understanding of our publishing processes
  • Field experience is required in order to support on-site validation activities
  • Candidate must be available for travelling
  • Knowledge of the following applications is strongly recommended: SAP, MS Office suite, Outlook, and Catia.
