Description

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Experienced in Industrial Electrical Maintenance or equivalent work experience(s):

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 5-10 yrs prior industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with Injection Molding, Sheet Extrusion, Thermoforming and/or Die Trimming processes
  • Trade / technical school completion or ability to complete curriculum if requested
  • Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician License a plus but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking on concrete.
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands/fingers, bend, kneel reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl and talk or hear.
  • Must be able to lift to up to 50 pounds at a time.
Responsibilities
  • Execute all job assignments in compliance with all Company Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Understand and demonstrate proper application of NFPA-70E and the Companies Electrical Safety Manual work practices
  • Act as a resource on-site for matters of Electrical Safe Work Practices
  • Consult with company resources as appropriate to answer technical questions related to Electrical Safe Work Practices
  • Complete change-over of production tooling
  • Complete initial production process set-up (following Master Process) to deliver a production line that is producing quality product at established cycle rate
  • Execute unplanned equipment repairs as necessary during the change-over process or as otherwise assigned by Supervisor (troubleshooting, repairs, etc.)
  • Use electrical prints to diagnose and repair machine malfunction(s)
  • Access PLC Programs as necessary to diagnose and repair machine malfunction(s)
  • Access Machine Servo Drives as necessary to diagnose and repair machine malfunctions (via software or interface)
  • Understand and troubleshoot remote I/O system(s)
  • Understand remote access means (eWON, etc.) to work with vendors to support troubleshooting of downtime events on-line (remote support)
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Execute electrical project work as assigned. Projects may include:
  • Electrical Equipment Installation (Power Connection)
  • 120/208VAC Systems
  • 277/480VAC Systems
  • Proper sizing of piping, conductors, etc. per NEC
  • Consult with company electrical resources as necessary
  • Controls / Industrial panel wiring (modifications and updates)
  • Upgrades to equipment for operational improvements (controls modifications either via hard-wire or PLC)
  • PLC troubleshooting / program review
  • In addition to electrical tasks, complete projects based on additional skill sets:
  • Fabrication
  • Basic carpentry
  • Plumbing / Pipe Installation (pneumatic, water, hydraulic, etc)
  • Lifting & Rigging / Machinery movement and installation
  • Based on projects, repairs, or preventative maintenance tasks performed, provide feedback on correction actions and/or preventative measures to reduce equipment downtime or improve mean time between failure (Continuous Improvement)
