We are looking for an experienced Electrician for the lead role in managing all electrical related matters across Amaroo’s Independent Living Villages and Residential Caring Centres ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian Standards.

• Ensure all equipment and electrical work is compliant with Australian Standards
• Carry out programmed electrical maintenance to all Amaroo facilities and equipment
• Undertake refurbishment works for vacated units, installing new stoves, GPO’s, fans, lights, TV outlets, phone points etc.
• Minor electrical installations across the village and caring centres
• Checking and maintaining all security lights, automated gates, garage doors and sensors
• Provide clear and concise reports to the Maintenance Manager as required.
• Provide advice on new technology and energy saving solutions.
• Annual smoke alarm and RCD testing and maintenance
• Maintaining emergency lighting, exit lighting regular audits and reports
• Maintain up to date electrical records required for all Amaroo facilities
• Liaise with electrical contractors / authorities if required
• Availability for after-hours call out when required
• Oversee / train the maintenance team in relevant Safe Work procedures
• Follow workplace procedures for hazard identification and risk control
• Other duties as required
