ABOUT YOU

In order to make this role a success, we are looking for a qualified Electrician with experience in food manufacturing or general manufacturing environment.

Specifically, some of the experiences and skillsets we are looking for include:

  • An Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation) or equivalent Machine/Welding
  • GMP and good safety understanding
  • Strong root cause analysis experience & ability to provide breakdown resolutions in a timely manner
  • PLC understanding (Allen Bradley / Siemens) would be useful, but not essential
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our engineering team at Quality Bakers Auckland, New Zealand’s largest plant bakery. As an Electrician you will have responsibility for providing a safe and reliable plant, minimizing risk, and ensuring the plant and facilities meet appropriate standards so production can run efficiently.

In order to achieve this, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake scheduled planned maintenance and resolve unplanned maintenance task such as dealing with breakdowns
  • Perform general electrical, PLC, and control circuitry repairs
  • Maintain plant logs to ensure they’re up to date and provide technical advice to the manufacturing team on issues relating to maintenance
  • Drive factory quality and HSE standards to ensure and demonstrate continued improvement to site safety
