Description

The Role Ventia are currently looking to engage a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our well-established team with our Department of Transport contract located in Fremantle Harbour. This full-time position will see you performing reactive and preventative maintenance tasks in and around the harbour which will include but not limited to: Lighting, power, navigational aids, vessel power outlets as well as testing & tagging. Whilst predominately based at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour this role will see you travel throughout the metropolitan area from Mandurah to Lancelin well as sporadic travel to remote WA locations. This is a great opportunity if you like working out in the fresh air and enjoy the afternoon sea breeze. We are looking for someone who is hard working, able to self-manage, safety focused and ready for their next challenge. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 07:00am-03:30pm with 1x RDO per month. The payrate for this position is $48.72 per hour plus overtime opportunities. Experience: To be successful in this role you will: • Hold a WA A grade licence • Hold an EWP & working at heights ticket • Have experience in a maintenance electrical role • Feel confident working on and around water • Have fault finding experience • Holding a coxswain ticket will be highly regarded Key duties but not limited to: • Responsible for completing Electrical maintenance and repair work on Marine structures • Ensure inspection records are completed and maintained for required tasks • Liasing with supervisors, client and public • Maintaining stock levels Benefits: • Opportunity for paid overtime available • Statewide travel with benefit entitlements • Free parking at Fremantle Depot • Great work/life balance About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
