Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, recycling and remanufacturing. We believe materials are not truly recycled until they’re made into something new—and it all starts with Visy Recycling. As Australia’s largest recycler, our extensive network of recycling operations is integrated with our manufacturing sites. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging.
As a Maintenance Electrician, you’ll be integral to ensuring our plant runs efficiently with minimal downtime. You’ll perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of equipment, ensuring that it’s safe, compliant, and operational. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and based at our Gibson Island site, you’ll also support continuous improvement projects and actively manage spare parts and inventory.

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize unscheduled downtime.
• Use our Computerised Maintenance Management System (IFS) to record work history and manage follow-up work requests.
• Execute electrical maintenance in line with safety regulations and operational targets.
• Collaborate in maintenance planning and contribute to process improvement initiatives that reduce costs and increase reliability.
• Participate in lean manufacturing maintenance activities such as 5S and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Work closely with the site maintenance team and external suppliers to maintain high operational standards.
