Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, contributing to an exceptional guest experience. Perform regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing Diagnose and repair faults in equipment, furniture, and lighting fixtures Conduct preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and extend the life of facilities and equipment Carry out installation work for new equipment and systems as required Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff Implement and adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools Contribute to the development and implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable maintenance practices Qualifications Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role Previous large scale luxury hotel or resort experience is required, pre-opening experience a benefit Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and best practices Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and interacting with guests Physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks and lift heavy equipment when necessary Relevant vocational qualification or degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field (desirable) Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems (desirable) Basic knowledge of Vietnamese language or willingness to learn (desirable) Additional Information What awaits you...
