Maintenance Engineer Location: Marion, Illinois  Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $19–$23 per hour (based on experience) The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ice machines, PTAC units, plumbing (in both the guestrooms and common areas) as well as drywall and painting throughout the property. Requires basic working knowledge of general maintenance procedures. Full time position with benefits. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required. Responsibilities * · Ability to interact positively with hotel personnel and provide prompt solutions to problems. * · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. * · Understand water treatment systems and swimming pools. * · Performs Preventative Maintenance in guestrooms. * · Conducts inspections for Preventative Maintenance and Mechanical Inspections. * · Ensures the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, and expendable supplies. * · Responds to guest’s calls regarding maintenance and repairs. Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner and within specifications. * · Records and reports completed repairs and items that require further attention. * · Understands and makes basic plumbing repairs, HVAC repairs, installs drywall and repairs carpet & tile floor. * · Understand minor electrical property needs. * · Actively paints guestrooms and common areas. * · Responsible for knowing Hotel emergency procedures. May be required to work during inclement weather, to include storm related events. Ability and willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice. * · Ability and willingness to obtain bids as needed. * · Ability to maintain inventory of miscellaneous hotel supplies. * · Maintains property grounds, including replacement of shrubs and plants, debris removal, and treatment for or removal of inclement weather as needed. * · Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes required work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards. * · Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes compliance with uniform policy. Qualifications * · Minimum six (6) months of maintenance experience * · Hotel maintenance experience preferred * · High school diploma or equivalent * · HVAC, Electrical and/or Plumbing Certification preferred * · Able to lift a minimum of 40lbs occasionally * · Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs regularly * · Able to bend and squat repeatedly * · Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift * · Flexible to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Benefits: * Competitive pay ($19-$23/hour) * Health, Dental, Vision, FSA, Supplemental Life, and more * Paid time off and holidays * Career growth opportunities
