MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

We’re hiring a Maintenance Engineer at AMH Material Handling in Sherburn-in-Elmet, Leeds. SALARY & BENEFITS

  • £47,500 base salary (inclusive of shift allowance).
  • Realistic OTE £50,000–£52,000, with scope to earn more through overtime.

Responsibilities

REPORTING TO THE ENGINEERING MANAGER, YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensuring all activities are recorded in our Computerised Maintenance Management System.
  • Diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of advanced automated equipment.
  • Responding to breakdowns, balancing proactive and reactive work to keep production flowing.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to boost performance and reduce downtime.
  • Mentoring less experienced engineers and sharing knowledge across the team.
  • Upholding high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
    A typical day includes PPM inspections, attending morning briefings, analysing data, and tackling robot or packaging equipment repairs. Breakdowns are less frequent thanks to our strong systems, so your expertise really adds value when things get tough.
