An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our Casting Maintenance team at our plant in Exeter. The apprenticeship will involve training in electrical and mechanical maintenance. There may also be the opportunity for supplementary welding and fabrication training.

REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for the apprenticeship programme the following must apply:

  • You have the right to work in the UK
  • You must not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2023 or later

Responsibilities
  • To learn and perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of plant services and equipment to detect and prevent problems
  • Assist with the installation, repair, adjustment and testing of equipment and components to ensure that systems function properly
  • Follow work processes and safety standards closely to ensure a safe working environment
  • To be committed in working towards achieving the competencies set out in the apprenticeship standards
  • Maintain an apprenticeship training record to be produced when required
