The Opportunity We are seeking a talented and experienced maintenance engineer to join our bottling and packaging team based in Glendene in West Auckland. The role is a fixed night shift position, Sunday to Tuesday nights, 6pm to 6am, allowing for a four day weekend each week. Occasional flexibility in work hours will be required. This role will be responsible for supporting the winemakers and bottling team to deliver reliability to Delegat quality standards. You will join a great team at Delegat where you will be set up for success. What you’ll be doing Undertaking day to day reactive and planned preventative maintenance to ensure all plant and equipment run at optimum efficiency with minimum downtime. Mmanaging and maintaining all site plant and equipment to ensure that the bottling and packaging plan can be delivered on time and to agreed quality and productivity targets. Contribute towards site efficiency and environmental impact through continuous improvement initiatives. As well as working autonomously, there will also be a need to supervise and work with contract service providers to the winery What you’ll bring Trade certificate in Fitting and Turning or similar, and associated trade skills Hands on maintenance experience in Beverage or comparable FMCG industries. Strong fault finding skills, approaching issues in a logical and methodical manner Experience with automated production lines and fault finding across PLC controlled mechanical and pneumatic equipment Good computer literacy and experience working with Microsoft products Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and make decisions effectively using the resources available to you Fabrication and welding skills advantageous You will be a team player and maintain close and effective relationships with other staff and contract service providers to create a harmonious working environment.
