Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking proactive and reactive work issued through our Agility helpdesk within set time frames so that production expectations are met.
  • Ensuring that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
  • Ensuring equipment and surrounding areas conform to agreed company standards.
  • Providing a professional service and represent the department in a way that promotes a professional two way relationship.
  • Evaluating performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment is carried out in the appropriate time frames.
  • Taking a pro-active approach to team liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
  • Being fully aware of company requirements, health & safety and production needs at all times.
  • Ensuring that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents/records are maintained accurately.
  • Being on an emergency call out rota for 1 week – 1 week in 7 weeks approximately

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have completed a timed served apprenticeship in an engineering subject, be accredited to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and have completed an ONC/HNC in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Have a previous background in a maintenance environment is essential – including practical experience.
  • Have a good working knowledge and experience in electrical, electronic mechanical engineering and F-Gas.
  • Have experience with Temperature chambers/Ovens with Co2, liquid Nitrogen F-Gas and vacuum systems, Electro Beam and laser welders, laser marking, PLC’s would be an advantage.
  • Be fluent in English, hold a UK passport/work permit and not require sponsorship in the future.
  • Hold a valid full UK driving license – to enable deliveries to sites

We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. In this role, we can offer the following flexible working patterns:

  • On Site position: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. Monday through to Wednesday 0800hrs - 1630hrs, Thursday and Friday 0800hrs - 1600hrs - there is flexibility in relation to start time being earlier (to be discussed further if successful through to interviewing
