My client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a modern engineering and manufacturing site in the Worthing/Littlehampton area. This hands-on role is focused on keeping production running smoothly through preventative maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and continuous improvement across a wide range of equipment.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

• Recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship to ONC/Level 3 or equivalent)
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background in a manufacturing environment

Desirable:

• 17th/18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
• IPAF, FLT, or boiler operation certificates
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley/Siemens PLCs

• Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facilities
• Troubleshoot, fault-find, and repair electrical and mechanical issues
• Work with control systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and overhead cranes
• Perform routine servicing and inspections in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow strict Health & Safety procedures
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives on site
