Description Use knowledge of and experience with automation, electrical concepts, and troubleshooting in a forging or casting environment, working with programmable controllers and industrial robotics including Siemens PLC’s and NC’s, and ABB Robotics in a casting and forging environment, developing TPM Program for forging and casting equipment., working with design software including 3D CAD software (Creo) and AutoCAD for casting and forging processes and applying mechanical engineering concepts in the upkeep and troubleshooting of metal forging press equipment (up to 8,000 ton) to support and guide the troubleshooting and repairing of complex casting, forging, and machining equipment including automated machines, robotics, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems, and drives. Analyze downtime reports and propose improvements, projects and other activities needed. Facilitate major repairs, rebuilds, and retro-fits of existing production equipment. Support execution of PM plans for all production equipment; critically looking at major equipment and improving PM frequency value. Source parts from outside sources and procure parts using SAP system while adhering to all purchasing rules. Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective action facilitation for unplanned downtime events. Continually analyze downtime data, machine component failures, spare parts inventory, support documentation and maintenance repair quality/efficiency. Champion documentation creation and control to improve repair quality and reduce time for repair on planned and unplanned activities. Assist in creation of standard work instructions related to troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Support the development of an effective spare parts inventory system. Provide expert technical support when maintenance technicians have an issue. Requirements Requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related (U.S. equivalent) plus two (2) year of experience evidencing demonstrable ability to perform the stated job duties. Responsibilities

The Maintenance Engineer will utilize their expertise in automation and electrical concepts to troubleshoot and maintain forging and casting equipment. They will also analyze downtime reports and facilitate major repairs and improvements to production equipment.
