We now have a vacancy for a full time, permanent Maintenance Engineer based mainly at our Bitton facility on the outskirts of Bristol.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A good standard of education to undertake role
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of Fanuc and Heidenhain m/c controls
  • Full Driving License is desirable
  • An ability to work well under time pressure
  • Problem solving Skills
  • Knowledge of and interest in Health & Safety working practices desirable
  • Relevant Technical Knowledge
  • Basic computer skills required
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The Maintenance Engineer role is to ensure site Machinery, Equipment and Facilities are kept in good working order. This role will involve a wide range of skills including Electrical, Machinery maintenance and general building maintenance activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance of key machinery and equipment identified the Asset Register
  • Responding to machinery and equipment breakdowns and identifying priorities with the Facilities Manager and Production Manager.
  • Diagnosing of Manual, CNC Machinery and general equipment faults.
  • Undertaking repairs of machinery (Mills, Lathes and Grinders) and equipment.
  • Managing stock of supplies and equipment, making sure key spares are always in stock
  • Liaising with key machinery suppliers when specialist assistance is required
  • Create and maintain maintenance procedures and checklists.
  • Create and maintain maintenance records for key machinery and equipment identified on the asset register.
  • The role will include some lifting and carrying and you may be required to undertake other duties as required (ie: driving to deliver/collect).
  • Expected to Work safely and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times and within the prevailing company Health and Safety procedures.
  • Responsible for using and disposing of cleaning chemicals and waste safely within company procedures.
  • Maintaining highest level of personal hygiene to prevent any problem arising with self or which may harm others.
  • The post holder may be required to perform any other reasonable duties from time to time and as directed by the Management Team.
