We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our 24/7 Swindon Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Site.
The Lead Engineer will deliver effective PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and breakdown repairs supporting the daily operation to ensure the reliable supply of services to production, whilst always striving for opportunities to deliver enhanced plant improvements through innovative ideas and modifications.
This is a shift-based role, 12 Hour Shifts of 2 days 2 nights 4 off.

Responsibilities
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery, ensuring compliance with SOPs, GMP, and health & safety standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns using a “First Time Fix” approach, while supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement engineering solutions to reduce downtime and enhance plant performance.
  • Maintain accurate records using engineering systems and complete all operational documentation to a high standard.
  • Support engineering projects, tool changes, and contractor activities, contributing to site improvements and innovation.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence through proactive risk management, training, and collaboration across departments.
