JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Maintenance Mechanic performs skilled work on building systems throughout the hospital. As a member of the Facilities Management team, you will have important contact with patients, visitors and clinical staff every day. Your mechanical aptitude and knowledge of facility and plant operations are an opportunity to be a part of something bigger. Your commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to achieving the best experience for our patients.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current driver’s license required. Specific equipment/systems training, preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years hospital maintenance.
  • General hand and power tools and test equipment.
  • Good communication and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities
  • You will perform routine maintenance and light repairs in areas including plumbing, medical gas, doors and hardware, electrical, nurse call, and Pneumatic Tube system
  • You will respond to building system casualties and fire alarms and take immediate action to restore services.
  • You will install and/or change out appliances and wall hangings.
  • You are responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance on building systems.
  • You will assist in controlling and maintaining the materials inventory.
