WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • CV showing:
  • Engineering Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) & HNC/D.
  • Mechanical proficiency with respect to the use of hand and machine tools.
  • Electrically proficient with single and three phase supplies to 17th / 18th edition standard.
  • Previous experience in dairy or food industry will be advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with PLC controlled plant.
  • Experience of steam raising plant and its maintenance.
  • Experience of pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure compliance with UK Food safety regulations and policy, and any other statutory / site requirements.
  • To provide an engineering service to production in carrying out routine planned maintenance, and reactive breakdown repair of the site mechanical and electrical installation, ranging from daily checks and inspections to major servicing, reconditioning and overhaul of the production plant machinery.
  • Provide production support as needed to ensure production schedule is achieved.
  • Provide engineering cover and call-out when required on shift to meet production requirements.
  • Assist in the planning and supervision of contractor’s work, including permit control
