Description:

Day shift, Monday to Friday, Maintenance Engineers opportunity at this diverse manufacturing / engineering company. We are looking for an electrically biased Maintenance engineer is required to join this team covering planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of equipment and facilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 18th edition electrical regs
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Experience with heavy machinery e.g. pneumatic presses
  • Familiarity with pumps, motors, and compressors
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • Proficiency in IT (Excel/Word) and experience with maintenance IT systems
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work at heights and perform manual handling tasks
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Full driving licence (occasional travel to Surrey required)
  • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance (e.g., oil changes, water dosing, filter replacements)
  • Maintain and repair machinery, including hydraulic presses and range of furnaces
  • Conduct fault finding as needed
  • Support on-site services (fire, water, electricity)
  • Manage maintenance stock and order spare parts
  • Communicate with suppliers
  • Adhere to safety regulations and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Document procedures and complete necessary paperwork
