MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL)

We’re working on behalf of a long-established and reputable manufacturing business based in Bath, who are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to join their on-site engineering team on a temporary basis for 8-12 months.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer with a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance to take on a varied role involving fault finding, machinery repair, installations, and site maintenance.

THE ROLE:

As part of the maintenance department, you’ll be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and upkeep of a range of machinery, equipment, and facilities. The role offers exposure to both mechanical and electrical systems and would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with the opportunity to continually develop their technical skills.

KEY DUTIES:

• Carrying out routine and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
• Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
• Assisting with machine installation, upgrades, and fabrication work
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting on completed jobs
• Working with engineers and team leads to resolve production issues
• Interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards
