Job Description As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will manage and maintain mechanical plant equipment, support systems and services across our property portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will be actively involved in both planned preventative maintenance and responding to urgent repair needs. You will be performing routine inspections and servicing on equipment like motors and drives, pumps, pipework, LEV Systems, plumbing and heating systems and refrigeration systems to prevent breakdowns. A key aspect of your role will involve proactively ensuring safety by conducting thorough risk assessments and developing method statements for all tasks, safeguarding yourself and others. This role requires you to be self-sufficient in managing your workload via our chosen Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). In this role you will be required to form part of the facilities on call team reacting to critical plant and systems failure and a full UK driving license is required. Qualifications Level 3 certificate in a mechanical engineering discipline (Engineering, Plumbing or HVAC) or above. CSCS grading/accreditation or equivalent. IPAF and PASMA qualifications. Good computer skills (MS Office) along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings. Practical experience in the operation and functionality of building management systems Experience of working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations. Proven ability to troubleshoot installations, conduct fault finding, and carry out necessary repairs. Flexible approach to working with the ability to work well in a team as well as autonomously. Additional Information Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, remedial works and reactive tasks in line current guidance documents, manufacturers literature and current legislation. Working safely in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies. Providing ‘out of hours’ support to business-critical functions and activities. Managing contractors and external suppliers in line with company policies and safe systems of work. Assisting with the delivery of in-house project works in line with CAPEX and OPEX requirements. Generating and managing critical spare for your discipline.
