Candidates without valid work permit in Norway and NORSOK experience will not be evaluated Location: Fornebu / Stavanger / Trondheim Start Date: 15 January 2026 End Date: 1 February 2027 We are seeking a motivated and solution-oriented Maintenance Engineer to join the Asset Maintenance function. The role is responsible for planning and preparing maintenance activities within the mechanical discipline, with particular focus on cranes and lifting equipment.In close cooperation with offshore discipline leads, technicians, management, and onshore support teams, the Maintenance Engineer will contribute to the safe and efficient execution of offshore maintenance activities. Maintenance planning and preparation are primarily performed onshore to optimize offshore workforce utilization. The role also includes support to turnarounds (TAR/shutdowns) and specialized maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and quality assure maintenance activities within the mechanical discipline, including procurement of materials, maintenance execution, testing, and continuous improvements Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and company requirements related to maintenance Ensure high quality in work order planning and execution, including campaign-based and vendor maintenance, in collaboration with offshore discipline leads Coordinate and follow up assigned preventive and corrective maintenance activities (PM/CM) Optimize maintenance strategies and maintenance plans, including annual plans and short-term (two-week) work order plans Collaborate with Technical Discipline Authorities regarding changes to preventive maintenance programs Contribute to planning and execution of large or complex mechanical maintenance activities Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree, trade certificate, or equivalent relevant experience from onshore or offshore environments Operational offshore experience is considered an advantage Experience with SAP and similar maintenance or enterprise systems Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Practical knowledge of offshore installations and mechanical equipment is an advantage Understanding of HSE requirements offshore, including technical, operational, and human factors Good written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in basic English, both written and spoken Personal Attributes Strong team player with effective communication skills Ability to see the bigger picture and understand how systems and activities are interconnected Structured, responsible, and proactive approach to work We Offer An inclusive working environment where diversity and equal opportunities are valued Focus on health, safety, and work-life balance Access to good welfare facilities, including canteen services, fitness facilities, and flexible working arrangements
